Email campaigns

What is Email Marketing and what can it do for your business?

Email marketing is the perfect add-on product to package with any existing website and is an excellent way to drive traffic through a variety of e-mail campaigns, mainly announcements, email newsletters, catalog emails or press releases.

A subscription form or opt in check box can be added to any website for their potential clients. The owner then encourages there clients to join and once a good head of subscribers is gained the newsletters can be sent.

A good email marketing program or campaign changes with each new issue sent so the clients are always getting fresh and updated information without having to go to the website. This is also a good way of reminding clients that you still exist. It helps to improve client relationships and will almost certainly improve your sales.

There are several other reasons why E-marketing works

  • Its cost effective - There are no printing costs.
  • Its immediate - Email generates an immediate response within a short period of time.
  • Its relevant - Email makes it easy to segment subscribers
  • Its completely measurable - More than any other form of marketing, email can provide actionable data on the results, keep track of who opened email, when and what topics they were interested in, who forwarded it on to a friend, how many sales were made etc.

Quick announcements

These are often referred to as postcard emails, these are simple brief to the point announcements that could be about a special offer that a customer would like hear about. These types of emails are typically restricted to single call to action

E-mail Newsletters

The main reason for a newsletter is to develop the client/customer relationship. The content should supply relevant information that would be of interest. The content does not have to be directly related to the products or services that you might sell.

Catalog Email

This is an electronic version of a printed brochure listing certain products or services. Primary goal is to encourage customers to purchase.

Press Release

If you have a list of media contacts that have given your client permission to contact them, email press releases can be a great way to attract news coverage.

When considering which types of email to promote to each of your clients, it's important to remember that you don't need to take a one-size-fits-all approach. Some clients will be much more suited to email newsletters than one-off announcements, while the reverse might apply to others. The best thing about email is that it's so measurable.
