What is image replacement!
Jun 25, 2007 : Using fonts for web design purposes has always had its limitations. So how do we go about using our favorite fonts on logos, headings and sub headings, but still keeping semantic markup within the XHTML coding. We essentially use image-based designed headings with any of the available default computer fonts, but we either remove or hide the true html heading text of the screen, leaving the image in its place, attached to the tag through CSS. The main methods at present are...
1. Fahrner Image Replacement
2. Phark
3. Gilder/Levin Method
